costume design + styling
based in L.A.
Growing up in Wyoming, it can be easy to develop a profuse imagination. Escape from the harsh Winters and flat landscapes of Cheyenne is most easily accessed in your mind. Constantly drawn to different horizons but encouraged to keep close, I stayed loyal to the land that raised me and headed to the University of Wyoming for my Design, Textiles, and Merchandising degree with a dual minor in Apparel Design and Interior Design. At school, I adored learning about worldly architecture, the history of apparel, and interesting merchandising techniques. Most importantly, I found again, my passion for sewing and making things with my hands.
Graduating in the pandemic led me to a new pasture in Jackson, Wyoming. The little town acted as a stepping stone or a window to the rest of the world. Time in Jackson was full of “stopping to smell the roses” and collecting stones as I went. Deep blue skies and grain-filled fields will always be my home; I packed my Midas touch and my imagination to leave Wyoming earnestly and gratefully to begin again in Los Angeles, where I am currently based to pursue Costume Design and Styling.
